Saturday May 10 we re-elected Abbot Melvin with a resounding vote. Thank you for your prayers -- I'm sure they helped. The solid vote count was a good sign for our community; and although Abbot Melvin has been abbot for so many years, most of sense that the Lord has definitely been doing something new with us lately and expect Abbot Melvin to help us keep that impetus.
On this Sunday when the Gospel speaks of the Good Shepherd leading his flock, please pray for Abbot Melvin and for the monks here. Pray that we'll allow the Spirit to continuye working in us.
